The Serenade

Fun, energetic, love, patient and the list goes on and on and on. I don't think there is any quote or saying I can come up with that would accurately summarize these two.  The vibe they carry when together is amazing. I've known Gary for a little while now and like all men (gents keep it real) when in truly in love, cannot stop smiling when Toya is around. He gets all giddy giddy. When Toya is around immediately everything else ceases to exist. You have no idea how hard it was to get this brotha to stop cheesing (smiling) for some of these pictures.  They feed off of each other. Gary and Toya, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to do these engagement pictures. As promised I kept the more intimate images strictly for you guys. :)
For the record, Toya serenading him was Gary's idea....

Jazz on the Tracks-The Eric Byrd Trio

These guys are characters. Its very rare that you meet an individual who do what they love and love what they do. This day I got to interact with three! When Eric (the leader of the band) asked me to take pictures for his band I must admit I was slightly intimidated. What can I possibly do to make my mark?

I originally had this location in mind for a upcoming engagement shoot. Despite my intentions, some how during the initial consultation, when asked of a possible location this was the first spot that came to mind. I'm really glad it did!!! During this shoot I had my buddy Donald "Woody" Wood (WoodAnglePhotography) come through and give me a hand. I definitely had a lot of fun on this shoot. I still have a very long way to go before I can call my self a legit "Photographer" much less a professional, but based on feedback from clients, potential clients, friends, etc I think I'm on the right track! lol

Love is in the air-Literally!!!

Congrats to Freddie and Jamesa.

There is no feeling in the world than seeing the people closest to you at one of the happiest moments of their life. Fortunately for me I got to experience that for two of my friends. I'm really glad I got to share in this moment with them and capture a few candids too. BTW Freddie is the first man I know to get the kiss before he pops the question (see 8th image above). I wish I could tell the entire story but its not mine to tell. Check out the video made by the Skydive Orange for them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ySPBh60iI4

Congrats again my friends. Jah

Humble Beginnings

Jah Jah on the tracks
It's not everyday that somebody gets to live life and do the things they love to do. I've been very blessed by the Most High to be able to engage in many ventures from riding motorcycles, to getting married, to becoming a father. The latest venture that I'm getting the opportunity to engage in is professional photography. What started out as a the kid with the Point & Shoot on family outings turned serious hobby is turning into a career/lifestyle will be around for a very long time. Its been a almost a year that I've made the choice to go all in. So please as I run this race I hope that you'll join me, encourage me, track my progress and support my every step on my journey to greatness.

P.S. This is my first blog. Don't judge me. If you have any tips, trick or observations please share.
